our leadership philosophy
Our leadership philosophy and approaches are constructed to be used in this environment. They are simple but not simplistic. They are well researched, and tried and tested by our many clients, and of course, by us, since we use them ourselves in our company!
So in a nutshell, what are they? We find that you can distil the essence of leadership into two areas.
First, the various activities that you need to do regularly as an intrinsic part of your job, whether or not they happen to be spelled out on your job description.
Second, how you need to “be” in order to prove inspirational (or at least not off-putting) to your lucky followers.
There are 6 of each, and none are hard to do nor hard to remember. What can be very easy is to forget them or simply think you’ll get round to it later. We have developed a fun, quickly applied model and tools to enable you to self-rate, or do a full 360-style assessment. From there a straightforward, hard hitting plan of improvement, or even just refreshment, is quickly obvious.
